Lauren established Lauren Corey Consulting, LLC in 2015, following a successful partnership in a large Maine CPA firm, where she specialized in employee benefit plans and construction firm services. Throughout her career she's actively assisted a specific range of clients with financial reporting and compliance, and counsels other professionals, on subjects within her expertise.
Lauren is well known for exploring and understanding financial reporting and regulatory matters and providing practical guidance. She has significant depth of knowledge in the areas in which she consults, including over thirty years of applied experience on ERISA audits, reviews and tax reporting of commercial entities, retirement plans corrections and compliance, Form 5500 preparation, and stock-based compensation financial reporting issues.
Prior to public accounting, Lauren worked as cost accountant for a regional construction firm.
